What Kinds Of Extensions Would You Want? – Lace Closures

Sunday, August 6, 2017 8:24:15 PM America/Los_Angeles

Just like lace wigs, lace closures can come in different types of hair, such as Indian Remy, Indian, Brazilian. In addition, they can also be developed with different types of lace such as Swiss, French and Super Swiss. They can mimic all types of hair textures, from silky straight, to Afro curly, Spanish curls and even the African American texture known as yaki.

Although you can request a lace closure to be developed with all lace, thin skin or thin fabric placed around the perimeter for individuals that will use it as a top piece of their weft hair; the most common type base is the silk base top because of its impeccable ability to appear as though the hair is stemming from the root. It's a seamless and the most common lace construction for individuals with experiencing hair loss that seek a natural appearance.

There are two ways to obtain a lace closure, which is by purchasing stock units in various sizes, such as a 4 inch by 4 inch or by requesting a custom made unit. Unlike full lace and lace front wigs, the closures are faster to develop given the fact that they are simply a hairpiece.

You can obtain and request different sizes that will cover the bald or balding area. However it's recommended that you begin by measuring the area lengths where you would like to replace. Then you must determine the base you prefer. Obviously a silk base top closure is more costly than an all lace piece and a Remy unit is more affordable than a virgin hair. Lastly, just like full lace wigs, the thicker (hair density) the unit the more costly it will be.

In general, lace closures are important pieces for those who wish to replace a bald area, rather than their entire head. It may be more affordable than a unit, but when ordering, the application and removal also need patience and taste the same.
